Event Details

The Portage District Library is partnering with the Kalamazoo Nature Center to highlight the wonders available in Michigan nature! Meet at the Nature Center for a leisurely Spring stroll over .7 miles as we invite you to engage your senses while searching for animal activity and observe the rich natural variety possible in Kalamazoo County. Explore the popular Beech Maple trail with a KNC Naturalist to identify wildflowers and other signs of spring as they answer questions about our rich, natural heritage. Please be prepared for walking outside, including comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing and a water bottle. In case of poor weather, the learning will continue inside the Nature Center Visitor Center. No fee, parking is free to attendees. More information about the trail can be found at: https://naturecenter.org/Visit/Trails
