Event Details

Learn to identify and protect yourself and your personal information from online scammers. In this workshop, you will learn about three real-life online scams and familiarize yourself with some of the techniques scammers commonly use to access sensitive information. In this session we will show you how to: Understand what makes up an online scam, identify scam warning signs, learn best practices for keeping your information safe, and how to open and take notes in a Google Doc. This presentation will be given by Adult Services Librarian Katharyn Haas as a part of the library's Grow with Google partnership. 

If you have your own laptop computer, please consider bringing it to this program so that you can practice on your own device. If you do not have a laptop computer, the library will provide you with a computer for you to use during the program.
