Stop by the library on the second Friday of each month for coffee, donuts, and a documentary film showing. Title of the month: Twenty Pearls: The Story of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. (2021). In 1908, nine Black women enrolled at Howard University made one decision that would change the course of history. These college students created Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®. For over 113 years, the sorority has influenced many of the most famous watershed moments in history. Each film is a part of the library's collection through Kanopy, an on-demand streaming video platform for thoughtful entertainment.
